Level 0001 cleared: the current build is a private technical preview of the browser-based WinPlex TypeScript port.
| Current build | 0.9.0-preview |
|---|---|
| Preview status | Playable directly from the main menu |
| Public release | Upcoming; no public date announced yet |
| Launch | Press TEST ! in the main menu |
The preview is intended for physics verification and bug discovery before wider release.
The project is reconstructing WinPlex as a browser-native TypeScript application, with the original behavior treated as the reference.
The goal is not merely to reproduce the appearance, but to preserve the game logic closely enough for experienced players to recognize the original physics.
The port loads level data in the original formats, so classic sets work unchanged.
| Classic collection | All 111 original levels, playable in the preview |
|---|---|
| Physics test suite | 57 constructed levels that exercise engine edge cases |
| Custom .dat import | Planned — drop in your own LEVELS.DAT-style sets |
Level order, names and secrets follow the original data exactly.
| Recommended | Current desktop Chrome, Edge or Firefox |
|---|---|
| Input | Physical keyboard |
| Installation | None; the build runs directly in the browser |
| Target | 60 FPS |
| Mobile | Not currently the intended test platform |
For useful test results, run the preview in a desktop browser with hardware acceleration enabled.
WinPlex TypeScript Port is an independent browser reconstruction project based on the behavior of WinPlex ("Supaplex rebirth in XXI Century", Pixell Developer Club, 2002–2003).
It is designed to preserve the original movement, interactions and level logic while removing the need for an installer, plug-in or emulator.
This project is not presented as an official release. Rights to the original game, names and related material remain with their respective owners.
